Meshcaid’s end goal is to build an interactive entertainment and learning platform for all ages interested in getting a start in the game development Industry. We want to help inspire and create the game developers of the future.
Meshcaid began in February 2018 when a group of passionate former game developers came together with a shared vision: to create a better, higher-quality, original sandbox universe where creativity could flourish. Within days, the name "Meshcaid" was chosen, and development began on what would become a free-to-play, ad-free sandbox universe.
Our journey has been defined by resilience and determination. In October 2019, we faced a devastating setback when a server crash led to the encryption of our main file server, forcing us to rebuild Meshcaid from the ground up. Rather than giving up, our team saw this as an opportunity to improve our foundation with stronger safeguards. Throughout 2020 and 2021, we made steady progress, developing our platform piece by piece. From designing our first character models and animations to establishing our marketplace ecosystem, each step forward was a testament to our commitment to creating something special.
Since day one, our community has been integral to Meshcaid's development. We've involved our users in everything from voting on character designs to participating in events like our annual Collective Force contest, where community members submit item ideas for potential inclusion in our marketplace. This collaborative approach has shaped not only our platform but also our company culture. We believe that the best ideas can come from anywhere, and we actively encourage our team members to contribute their unique perspectives.
From 2022 to the present day, we've continued to innovate and expand. The introduction of Uniques to the marketplace, subscriptions, and sophisticated rendering technologies has transformed Meshcaid into a vibrant digital ecosystem where users can customize characters, trade unique items, and connect with others. Each upgrade, from our advanced rendering systems to our intuitive user interfaces, has been driven by our commitment to quality and user experience. We believe that technology should empower creativity, not constrain it.
